Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is an Indian-born British American musician and sitarist is best known for her musical talents. She is also the youngest and first woman to be awarded the British House of Commons Award. Anoushka Shankar is an emerging young star of the Indian sitar. She is a student as well as sister of Ravi Shankar. She spent her childhood bouncing back and forth from London in the UK to New Delhi. In the age of thirteen she performed her first performance in New Delhi. Later she moved to Encinitas CA she attended high school and graduated with distinction in the year 1999.
